Common questions
Is FutureMail HIPAA compliant?
No. FutureMail doesn't sign Business Associate Agreements and doesn't hold any compliance certification. Don't send lab results, diagnoses or other protected health information through it. Use the patient portal in your EHR for that, and use FutureMail for the administrative side of the practice.
Can each doctor have a private mailbox?
Each doctor can have their own address and mailbox, but everyone invited to your FutureMail workspace can see all of its mailboxes. There are no mailboxes hidden from colleagues, so plan your invitations with that in mind.
What does it cost for a practice with 15 staff?
The same as for one person: Pro is $20/month flat and includes 50,000 recipients a month. Limits are hard caps, so you're never charged overage. There's no free tier or trial, and you can cancel anytime.
Can we bring over our old email?
No. FutureMail can't import mail from another provider, so keep an export from your previous service for your records. New mail starts arriving in FutureMail once your MX record points to us.
