Common questions
Can I use FutureMail for patient emails?
Not for anything tied to a patient. FutureMail doesn't sign HIPAA Business Associate Agreements, and protected health information isn't limited to treatment notes and diagnoses: appointment and billing details tied to a patient count too. Handle patient communication in your practice software or patient portal, and use FutureMail for suppliers, staff, hiring and other business mail.
Can I keep my existing clinic domain?
Yes. FutureMail works with a domain you already own from any registrar. You add a few DNS records we generate for you, and mail starts arriving once the MX record is live. We don't sell domains.
Does it work with Outlook or the iPhone Mail app?
No. FutureMail doesn't offer IMAP, POP or SMTP, so you read and send email in the FutureMail web inbox, which you can install as an app from your browser.
Can I send newsletters or promotions to my patient list?
No. FutureMail is for person-to-person and transactional email. Newsletters and bulk promotions aren't allowed under our Acceptable Use Policy.
How much does FutureMail cost? Is there a free plan?
FutureMail is paid-only: Pro is $20/month and includes 50,000 recipients a month, unlimited domains and addresses, agent inboxes, the API and MCP server. There is no free tier or trial. Limits are hard caps, so there are never overage charges and no per-seat pricing. Charged in USD; Stripe may show your local currency and add applicable tax. Need more volume?
