FutureMail
FutureMail for accountants

Get through tax season with an inbox built for it

From January to April your inbox fills with W-2s, bank statements and questions about deadlines. FutureMail puts documents@, tax@ and your own address on your firm's domain, in a fast inbox your bookkeepers and preparers share.

Works with a domain you already own. One price for your whole team.

Why FutureMail works for accountants

Harder to impersonate your firm

Tax season brings scammers posing as accountants. FutureMail sets up DMARC alongside DKIM and SPF, which makes it much harder for someone to send convincing fake mail from your domain.

Seasonal staff without seat fees

Bring on extra preparers for the busy months and remove them afterward. Your bill stays at $20/month, and the audit log shows who was added to the workspace and when.

A plus address for every client

Ask clients to send paperwork to documents+lopez@. The plus address shows on every message, and a to: search pulls up everything that client has sent. Nothing to configure per client.

Scanned attachments

Every PDF, spreadsheet and photo of a receipt is checked for viruses when it lands, so opening a client's year-end statements doesn't put your machine at risk.

Keyboard shortcuts for heavy weeks

Move through hundreds of messages a day with keyboard shortcuts, threaded conversations and Gmail-style search operators like from:, has:attachment and date ranges.

Answer late, send on time

Catch up on client questions at 11pm and schedule replies for 8am. Drafts save as you type, so a half-finished answer to a tricky question is waiting when you return.

Agent-ready

Hand the first pass to an assistant

Give an AI assistant its own inbox and a key that can only reach that mailbox. Connected through the API or MCP, it can do the clerical first pass while you keep the final say on every reply.

  • Note which clients have sent which documents so far
  • Pull invoice totals and due dates from vendor bills
  • Draft an individual note asking a client for a missing 1099, for you to review

Common questions

Does it connect to my tax or practice software?

There are no built-in integrations with accounting or practice management software. FutureMail does have a REST API and signed webhooks if you or a developer want to connect something yourself.

Can my preparers each have their own login?

Yes. Invite them to your workspace with a role such as admin or developer. Keep in mind that everyone in a workspace can see all of its mailboxes.

Can I import last year's client emails?

No. FutureMail doesn't migrate mail from other providers, so your older messages stay where they are now.

What happens if I cancel after tax season?

You can cancel anytime and export your account first. There's no annual contract and no free trial, just $20/month while you use it.

How much does FutureMail cost? Is there a free plan?

FutureMail is paid-only: Pro is $20/month and includes 50,000 recipients a month, unlimited domains and addresses, agent inboxes, the API and MCP server. There is no free tier or trial. Limits are hard caps, so there are never overage charges and no per-seat pricing. Charged in USD; Stripe may show your local currency and add applicable tax. Need more volume?
